Two Police Scenes Overnight, But No Arrests Near Nancy Guthrie Home Overnight in Catalina Foothills, Arizona

Swat teams stormed a neighborhood two miles from Nancy Guthrie’s house — and two people inside a home were detained in what sources say is an investigation connected to the disappearance of 84-year-old Guthrie. A nearby traffic stop was also connected to the swat raid, and another man was detained. A Range Rover in the area was also searched (Brian Entin/News Nation). YouTube Tips ⓘ

UPDATE: Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Josh Breslow of FOX News Saturday morning that there were no arrests in the Nancy Guthrie case overnight Friday to Saturday after a warrant was served. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department had announced that there would be a press conference Friday night, but that press conference did not occur Friday night or Saturday morning.

Two police scenes developed late Friday night, not far from the Nancy Guthrie home in Catalina Foothills. Once police scene is located at a house in a neighborhood near the intersection of Orange Grove Road and First Avenue in the Shadow Hills neighborhood. The other scene is about two miles south of the Shadow Hills scene in a Culver’s parking lot. Multiple media sources are reporting that three individuals have been detained, and there is speculation that a fourth individual may have fatally shot himself at the Culver’s parking lot.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department provided a statement at 11:47 p.m. MST Friday, February 13, 2026 that, “Law enforcement activity is underway at a residence near E Orange Grove Rd & N First Ave related to the Guthrie case. Because this is a joint investigation, at the request of the FBI – no additional information is currently available.”

Another scene at a Culver’s parking lot at 4810 North 1st Avenue was not mentioned by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department late Friday night. Law enforcement focused their attention on a gray Range Rover SUV in the parking lot. A yellow tarp was used by law enforcement to obstruct the view of investigation of the rear tailgate area of the Range Rover SUV. Also, the license plate was covered by law enforcement before the Range Rover was sealed and towed away on a flatbed tow truck.

There are unconfirmed witness reports that someone was found shot in the head near or inside the Range Rover, and that an unmarked coroner’s van was also assigned to the scene at the Culver’s parking lot. Sheriff’s deputies were holding up a tarp to obstruct the view of the area near the back of the Range Rover, and that observation is consistent with the procedure of blocking the view of a deceased victim at a crime scene or death investigation scene.

The scene in the Shadow Hills neighborhood where three were detained involved significant police presence, including at least one armored vehicle.

The scene in at the Culver’s appeared to be an investigation response with the appearance of a death investigation or significant evidence collection investigation.
